Kedarnath Temple Closing and Opening Dates and darshan timing

Kedarnath Temple is located at the highest altitude among the Char Dhams. This Temple is located in the Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand. Kedarnath Temple is a more important temple for worshipers of Lord Shiva. Kedarnath Temple is one of the 12 Jyotir Lingams. For Reaching Kedarnath Dham also Helicopter service is also available.

The Temple of Kedarnath Dham has been continuously reconstructed over the years because Kedarnath Temple is closed for six months and open for the remaining six months. Whenever Kedarnath Temple is closed for 6 months, whole the Temple is covered by snow. Nobody can stay there during this winter season.

Kedarnath Temple opens every year in the month of April or May. The temple is closed in the season of winter. After the winter season is started the Temple is closed for 6 months. This year Kedarnath temple is now open from 29 April 2023 (Maha Shivratri) at 6.20 AM.

(Eve of Bhaiya Dooj) and the Temple closing Dates are provided by the Temple board in the month of November. The temple was closed for 6 months.
