Govardhan Hill is located near the town of Vrindavan and is considered a religious city of Hindu. It is known as Goverdhan or Giriraj. In a similar tradition, the Govardhan Hill is located near the city of Nathdwara. Lord Krishna lifted a Govardhan Hill and held it up as protection to hit people and cattle from the rain. Shrinathji is a statue of the particular movement of Krishna. So, Lord Krishna is also known as “GIRIRAJ DHARAN”.
Parikrama of the Giriraj is considered sacred in Vaishnav. To fulfill this purpose beautiful flowers, pathways, and temples have been made beside the Giriraj in Nathdwara.
